Back Story
Discarded objects catch my eye as I walk from my Portland, Oregon, apartment to my studio. On the pavement, nails, gum wrappers, bottle caps, bread clips and other tiny bits of urban debris flirt with me, offering a raw aesthetic as a new muse. I also see people at wits end, because that is a heartbreaking reality in this world. About the only thing I can do for them is acknowledge them, sometimes learn their names and say hi.
